Account Information
When you create a Claritum account, we collect your name, email address, and password.
Tool Inputs
Information you submit to negotiation tools, analysis features, and coaching services (contract text, negotiation details, questions, etc.).
Usage Data
Pages visited, time spent, features used, clicks, scrolls, search queries, and device information.
Device Information
Browser type, operating system, IP address, and mobile device identifiers.
Payment Information
Payment method, transaction history, and billing address (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full credit card details).
How We Use Information
We use collected information for:
- Providing and improving Claritum services
- Processing payments and managing subscriptions
- Sending transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, receipts)
- Communicating about feature updates, promotions, and service changes
- Personalizing your experience based on preferences
- Analyzing platform usage to improve features and user experience
- Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Complying with legal obligations
AI Processing
Important: When you use Claritum tools, your submitted information is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI analysis and coaching.
- Anthropic Data Handling: Data sent to Claude API is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy and data retention practices
- Data Retention: Anthropic may retain input data for service improvement; refer to their policy for details
- Your Control: You control what information you submit; do not send sensitive personal data unless necessary
- Claritum Storage: Claritum does not permanently store your tool inputs on our servers unless you explicitly save results

Data Storage
Your information is stored on secure servers:
- Supabase: Database and user data (hosted in North America)
- Vercel: Frontend application and CDN (edge locations globally)
- Anthropic: AI processing (data subject to Anthropic's policies)
Third-Party Services
Claritum uses the following third-party services:
Anthropic (Claude API)
AI analysis and coaching; subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
Stripe
Payment processing; Stripe encrypts and secures payment information.
Vercel
Hosting and content delivery; Vercel's privacy policy governs their data handling.
Google Analytics
Website usage analytics; Google processes anonymized data per their privacy policy.
We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. We may disclose information if required by law or to prevent harm.
Data Retention
We retain your information as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations:
- Active Accounts: Account data retained while your account is active
- Tool Inputs: Not permanently stored unless you save results
- Usage Logs: Retained for service improvement and analytics
- Payment Records: Retained for 7 years for accounting and tax compliance
- Upon Account Deletion: Personal data deleted upon request; some data may be retained if legally required
Your Rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canada's PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information

Children's Privacy
Claritum is not directed at or intended for children under age 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided information, we will delete it immediately and notify the parent or guardian.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries outside Canada, including the United States:
- Anthropic: AI processing may occur in US data centers
- Vercel: Hosting may occur across global data centers
- Compliance: We ensure adequate safeguards under PIPEDA
By using Claritum, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside Canada for processing.
